In addition to the things mentioned above already, here are some other recommendations of things to do in Toronto:
For a fun lunch in an interesting area close to downtown Toronto, visit The Distillery District. This is an old area of the city that was refreshed architecturally with good restaurants and a few art galleries. It is a pedestrian area with nice stores, bars and restaurants. My two favourite places to eat there are: El Catrin (Mexican food) and Cluny (casual French).
Another cool and recent area in the Toronto core for good food and shopping is called: “ The Well “. It's a new development area in the city, modern and fresh. One of my favourite restaurants there is called La Plume. However, the food court at the bottom of The Well is really well done and has great food, it doesn't look like a regular food court but rather a collection of small good restaurants. This is great if you need a quick bite while you are discovering the city.
One street north from “The Well” you will find another fun area called "King St West", where you will find trendy bars and clubs in the city. More fun for the weekend nights. One of my favourite places to eat in this area is called: Lee (try their Singapore style slaw and their cheese burger spring rolls).
A bit on the other spectrum of modern, classy and trendy yet eclectic and interesting as a visitor to the city, there is a neighborhood called “Kensington Market”, right by China town. A few strange and vintage stores and an area to visit during the day when the stores are open. There are lots of different places to eat and some breweries with patios.
Finally, if you are a runner (I am) or a hiker and want to go for a run / walk to warm up for your matches, there are two places, but bear in mind that you need time to visit these areas as they are not so close to the core of the city: 1) High Park - Our smaller version of NYC Central Park, but not so central because it is ~35-45 min West of the city downtown / 2) Toronto Beaches - Beautiful run/stroll by the Lake Ontario if you go to Woodbine Beach, ~35-45 min East from the city downtown.
Even as a local, sometimes I refer to the website BlogTO.com to find fun things to do as it includes information of places, events and neighbourhoods.
I don't want to overwhelm you with lots of things to do. If you are in the city only for a few days and you are going to be wrestling, you might want to find things to do that are fun but close to the core where the WF activities are happening.
Enjoy your visit and hope to meet you soon! Leelocks

Hey everyone! Really excited for WF! I got a question for you guys. Has anyone went to Niagara Falls from the Buffalo airport? @backtopro and I are thinking about going before we head over to Toronto. Trying to look at options (best way to get around etc) to Niagara Falls then to Toronto afterwards.
Hey there! I’d recommend checking out Flixbus. They have a stop at Buffalo airport and goes straight to Niagara Falls. Alternatively, you can take an Uber/Lyft to the bus station in Buffalo and catch a bus from there over to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. If you are planning to stay in Niagara Falls for a bit, stay on the Canadian side (we got the better view by far 😉). From Niagara Falls (Canada), there’s tons of public transit options to Toronto. I’d check out GO, Flixbus, and Megabus. Of course, the easiest option would be to rent a car, but then you’d have to worry about parking rates in Toronto which are crazy.
Thanks so much. I will check into this. I definitely would love to go to Niagara Falls on the way to Toronto. That has been on my to do list for a while 😃
This will be my first time visiting Toronto, especially with my partner. I don't know him anything about Toronto. What are some recommendations for sightseeing and tourist type of stuff?
July is a good month with a lot going on. We have the island which is a 7 min ferry from downtown with a private gay beach. An area called the beach on the water just east of downtown. The west end is nice near ossington street: the gay area is church. Major sites are the CN tower. Let me know what type of stuff you’re interested in doing and I can give other suggestions

hace 10 díasSt Lawrence Market is good to check out during the day or early morning.
Casa Loma is where the exteriors for the X-men movies were filmed.
Kensington market is a nice outdoor market with a decent amount of shops / food stands.
The royal Ontario museum and art gallery of Ontario also have exhibits.
For the nerds, Star Trek strange new worlds is filmed at the studios here
