Posted a picture of me pinning a wrestler about 30 years ago. By locking his arms with a half nelson, I applied enough pressure on his chest and his bis to force him to submit. Had him pinned and fighting it for about 3 minutes
Very awesome. Nothing more satisfying than a match ending in a pin where not only do the shoulders hit the mat, but the bottom wrestler is so utterly spent that you know it’s one decisive win.
One pin that has worked in forcing submission is the back bow and let turk. After I hook the leg and turn him and lock my arm around his head, I reach back and pull his free leg toward his ribs. Really puts a lot of pressure on the guy getting pinned and find guy will tap pretty quickly. Some guys will fight that pin but in doing so, they wear themselves out and can't fight it too long.
yes. love pin for submission – freestyle pins are too quick, and over - but thats the point in amateur competition... but pin for submission is cool if agreed on.
I like both approaches. Love a battle where a pin count has to reach 30, 40 or 50 for win, many near pins where you get to the end of the long count and the man gets his shoulder up and start again. I also like a pin to submission, not painful pins but more endurance exhaustion pins that go on and on
In Freestyle, pins are too quick. I think to make it a pin, you must cradle your opponent or otherwise so control him he can't escape. Wrestling is about domination and submission, not referee calls.
Most freestyle matches end with pins, but I really enjoy pinning a wrestler till he taps. I find it very hot to pin a guy trying to escape and make him tap by puting pressure in ways that are painful but not likely to injure. Thes pins can go on for several minutes until the pinner is defeats his opponent.Any one else into pinning subs?

I agree Primalpin. If both guys have bulges or hardons they might as well put them to use to make a victory more decisive.

Love it. Pin for tap or I sometimes go for long pins. 20 30 count to give guy opportunity to escape
