I am not offended. I think you were offended that I was offended that the cartoon had no arms and Silex was making a joke about it. But I am no longer offended because I have lightened up.
Given the "discussion" you have "fomented" dear Silex---the question of arms or behind his back arms---it is taking on all the aspects of the short story, The Lady and The Tiger. Bravo! Silence is not necessarily golden; but, definitely quiet.
It i said that for many perception is reality. And, there are some who read things into the spoken word, the casual look, and the printed page that do not exist, or at least were not intended. I concur with our brother member. Silex would never be called a lady. But, having just looked at his profile, I believe that in addition to a marvelous artist, who provides us with delightful and often meaningful drawings, I suggest we have a real tiger among us. On his behalf, and I admit without his encouragement, I should think that he would probably accept many a challenger, and then he would try not to make his opponent look too bad. Do I have that right, Silex?
She dwells in the place of the Wolves and this guy has red hair---a touch of those in northern France where Venus stands. Yeah, okay, but where is Milo?

But you have to have arms before you can have hands. No arms, no hands. And he has no arms!

I love “The Lady and the Tiger.” Great story and appropriate analogy. But I would never call Silex a lady.
