Hello!

I'm proud to present to you our new brother site: ChatFighters.

Although it is certainly possible to use MeetFighters for imaginary characters and cyber battles, this is not what the site is designed for. We have all those pesky rules demanding real photos and such. It's a drag.

ChatFighters is all for you, cyber community, the new website is throwin all these rules out the window! The terms of service are hyper simplified, with no picture verification. You are not restricted to just one profile, quite the opposite: you can manage as many cyber profiles as you want with the same registered account. The specialized cyber chat allows you to operate more than one character simultaneously. And when you are done, you can even publish your match directly from the chat with just a few mouse clicks.

[IMAGE:https://www.chatfighters.com/Content/Style/brawl/cf-main-about.jpg]

ChatFighters.com is a place of fantasy. Here you can create imaginary characters, have epic battles, experience role-playing and meet others with similar interests.

Or just relax and quietly read other members' stories and books.

You are encouraged to open up, explore and share your fantasies. ChatFighters wants to be a worldwide hub for all who love fighting but cannot do this in real.

Check out the member created character descriptions; most of them are very detailed and pretty impressive!

If you like or just being curious about the cyber fighting world, give it a try.

If you happen to post regular cyber blogs on meetfighters, you can keep doing it, but I would be happy if you try and post your blogs also on the story section of the new site.

As usual with us, the site is free and has no advertising AT ALL. Putting your privacy first, we don't use any 3rd party tracking or similar shit to create fingerprints of your web history. Join, chat, read, leave, and hopefully come again.

I worked on ChatFighters for roughly a year. It's been in limited beta for a month now, opening to the public today.

It is still in his baby steps, but I have many plans for it. I'm in contact with the existing cyber community from Yahoo!, helping me in creating this new place! You can join too, and have a strong influence on how this website will develop in the future. New features and requests are mostly community-driven!

This page explains the concept behind it in more details: https://www.chatfighters.com/impressum

Cool site, but already we can see redundancy in user accounts and uploaded photos. Why not beef up this site to promote cyber stuff instead? Seems like the steps are nearly there - just about perhaps changing the rules to distinguish between real matches and not, and so forth, beyond what's already available. I just fear the current site or this new site not getting as much use and just splitting up the already small community.

Your idea was one possible option, for various reasons I decided to create a new site instead.
In the feature, we might connect the user base and ease up registrations, who knows.

But everyone can register on both sites.
[...]"but already we can see redundancy in user accounts and uploaded photos"[...]
Based on what? I'm sorry but this statement is just not true.
Remember the new users coming from Brasil a few weeks back?
Registrations going up as well as uploaded content. Compared to last year same time. We always have a high fluctuation during the year summer/winter.

Ah yea, if there is a way to connect the two profiles, then I wouldn't see a downside. Nevertheless, you've created an amazing platform for everybody and we all appreciate it! And thank you for your response and reading mine. Keep up the awesome work!

Is there a medium or long term plan to move all cyber-only profiles from here to Chatfighters?

No.
But I will recommend to fake accounts to move to chatfighters instead of just blocking and terminating them.

The new site is pretty nice, but there is no reason people can't do cyber at either site, if they wish.

The new site is a great idea. Finally two communities which really don't have much at all in common can be differentiated. I'd like to see a real separation so I'm not having to worry about whether or not a fighter is real on this site. Perhaps some indication that MeetFighters is for folks who genuinely want to meet in person for combat oriented sport or recreation with an accompanying message that if you're looking for fantasy on line matches, you can find it at ChatFighters.

Great idea to try to separate two groups which are 180 apart in terms of actually hitting the mats/entering the ring. Should reduce frustration, and hard feelings. The important thing is for folks to be 100 percent truthful as far as real action vs. fantasy is concerned..

This comment is for all who wish the 100% seperation.

I agree.
In a lot of cases, it is clear that someone never wants to meet live.

But...

I think a few people are not sure themselves... (I can see that with profiles terminating themselves, just to recreate a new account a few days later and they repeat this step a few times...)
They may be shy and unsure, and with cyber and chat they get to know more themself. And finally, after some online adventures, they find a way to the 'real' match.

I don't think I will ban people from meetfighters who are only looking for cyber. As long as they don't fake their location/stats/pictures etc.
The goal is rather that chatfighter is more attractive for them so they switch on their own.

And don't forget they are people who like both!

"As long as they don't fake their location/stats/pictures etc."

The above statement is pure self-delusion, and your new Chatfighters only makes it worse. The only way you can make Meetfighters real and "not fake" is to require a public face pic. Until you do that, people will post torso shots and other fake shots so that they can sexually cheat on their wives, husbands and others.

And while I strongly endorse a "public face pic requirement", I fully realize that you will never do that. Why? Because you will lose 50-60% of your membership who are addicted to a clandestine alternate fight-life.

Please do not misunderstand me! I love your site, and applaud the time, effort and expertizse that make it such a great site to meet other fighters. But I wish it were more "public" (not less so, like Chatfighters), so as not to promote homophobia – all in the service of driving up your membership numbers.

Just my thoughts ..... for whatever it is worth! Thanks for reading this!

sigh..
So you want me to get rid of all accounts who have no face pic or force them to upload one?

I scrolled through your past opponent's list, did you check how many of them have no public face pic?

If they would have not been able to register and start making contact, because I block their accounts from the first minute and require a face pic, you would have never met them.

A ->public face pic<- is no indication for a real person. It can help but it is just one part, not the only one. And it can be faked like everything else on the internet if we force it.

It's already a gift that this site is still alive for the ease of all our fights meet - cyber or real. Thanks for creating another avenue.

Identity thieves are stealing real pictures of everyday people and using them for criminal purposes all the time. For most of us keeping our faces off of the internet is a very good idea.

Sadly in this world we live in, there will always have fakes/catfish on any kind of social media.

Unlike most sites MF's have come up with a solution to contain them, maybe it will work, maybe it won't, but the fact they are trying with such a unique way, is a massive thumbs up from me.

Agreed! I would indeed have fewer past opponents, and MF would have fewer members! And the experience for both of us (Muschamp and MF) would be more authentic and far better (qualitatively not quantitatively) for it!

There was am influx of people that joined ChatFighters today.

Based on many of the user names (same ones from Meetfighters) many that joined say Not Interested in Cyber on MeetFighters. So maybe they just like to read cyber but not participate.

It's a big world, Room for everyone in both places.

I think it's a very smart move and captures the reality of on line life for many subscribers. Although not for me, as someone who prefers real meets, it does offer an avenue for guys who may be shy and insure about meeting irl and will hopefully be an opportunity for them to develop their interests. For all those guys criticizing this development I think youre wrong. We are a small part of a diverse community, with a specialist niche around wrestling and fighting. In order to get to real life meets some people need to explore and test out their feelings. Although not for me, this is an important development, so we'll done to those involved in its introduction.

I'm glad that you went with that choice. I think it will be good to have separate site for 2 completely different worlds of wrestling fans. Thanks for all of your efforts!

A new site has the potential to be useful. Although this site could have seen improvements for those wanting to put stories up and have them easily accessible in a menu option for stories only. Looking at the Stories Page on the new site it lists over 40,000 "stories" apparently transferred from Yahoo. Almost everyone of these stories that I looked at was either a cyber match, a message or a chat. A cyber match is NOT a story and I can't see why anyone who wasn't in the match would want to read it. I did see the "Books" option and it should be useful.
Creating a separate site gives the impression that "certain" people are being shown the door and told to take their business elsewhere. I suppose having an optional site may have some appeal although the appeal of "Character Building" is a mystery to me.

MuscChamp i strongly disagree with every word you wrote and mostly disagree with the spirit, with the culture that your words reveal. What is this mania for disclosures, coming outs, public declarations? Why people should feel less moral, less real, if they don't expose completely their identity and their tastes to the whole world? Why? This is a space of liberty, this is a place for experimental practices, a place of new experiences open to anyone, married, not married, pro fighters and newcomers (I personally met both) with no necessity of classifications.
I never appreciated the restrictions that people like you, with their pseudo-moral criticism, imposed to the site. Please respect the ideas, the doubts, the times, the love for privacy and the right to change opinions and tastes of everyone. People who are still looking for their way in this world are not Children of a Lesser God; they have nothing less than you or than me.

Slightly disappointed in some of the comments on this. Given the Admin and beta team have created this and now ChatFighters in their spare time, for free, for a community is amazing and should be celebrated.

To suggest that cyber is not part of the wrestling community is ludicrous. Just as much as boxing or gut punching or any other style of wrestling; they serve and appeal to different members. It’s about choice and taste, about what works for you. Guys who enjoy Cyber are part of this community; embrace them and celebrate the wonderful diversity of the wrestling community.

There are so many reasons why guys can’t always meet, and yes some of those are for frustrating reasons but did you consider that perhaps it’s about physical limitations? Or location reasons? Or even economical reasons? If cyber is how they get to be involved in something they love, who are we to criticise that? It’s brilliant.

Anyway, Admin, bravo for continuing to think about how the community can be enhanced. I for one am thankful.

Reckon there are some who are real fighters with folks of certain physiques, weights, and other characteristics; but like to do fantasy of being with folks of characteristics beyond where they would feel comfortable or safe in a real match. Am assuming that these folks will be on both sites, with appropriate profiles for each. To me, it looks like a win-win-win for the real MeetFighter types as well as the fantasy folks or those who are into both.

Thank you for creating a fantastic cyber battle space.
This meets the demand of fighter who likes fantasies. And further, the significance of Meetfighters stands out.
The new space has just started up, but I look forward to its future development.
If you have any help, please recruit.
