Combat Calendar Enhancements & Picture Limit Updates
Hey Fighters,
In today’s update, we’ve made some tweaks to the combat calendar we introduced not too long ago and increased your picture storage.
Combat calendar update
We’ve added a new 'archive' button that lets you revisit past potential matchups, keeping the lines open for challenges or discussions. This feature comes straight from your feedback, so keep those suggestions coming.Picture update
On the picture front for MeetFighters, there’s good news. We’re changing how picture limits work. Instead of a flat 100-picture cap for all members, we're now linking your picture limit to your account's contribution status. This means you could upload up to 2500 pictures depending on your status. Plus, we’re doubling the maximum picture resolution — every member can now upload pictures with resolutions up to 1600x1600 pixels.Contribution | Pictures | Galleries |
None (standard member) | 100 | 10 |
Bronze (20€/year) | 500 | 15 |
Silver (30€/year) | 1000 | 30 |
Gold (40€/year) | 1500 | 50 |
Platinum (65€/year) | 2500 | 100 |

Many members did reach the limit of 100 pictures.
For a new statistic, it is too early.

11/3/2024 15:31Are you able to adjust the main profile pic rules ? A gear photo should be allowed versus a shirtless photo. A member should not have to show their face if they do not want. However, strong arming members to show a shirtless photo in place of a gear photo does not make sense. In any legitimate wrestling situation, you are wearing a singlet, gi, or some predetermined outfit, rarely just shirtless! This is a site to meet other fighters, not just display shirtless chests.

As your own profile picture proves, NOBODY needs to show his face.
Regarding shirtless and whether singlets should be allowed, a few years back, there was a public vote on MeetFighters, and the majority voted that singlets and other wrestling gear that covers the upper body should not be allowed. (The voting results are still available if you go back in the history of site news.)
I know our profile pictures are constantly discussed; however, if you open our search results, you ALWAYS find useful pictures showing the member's face or a clear body. Compared to many other social sites out there, where you will find all kinds of nonsense, like cars, comic figures, food, animals, trees.. or other non-saying pictures that make it hard to detect anything.
As you said, we are an adult fighting site; show your body or face. Or buy a gold contribution and stay anonymous.

No thank you.
If I want to see photos of gear, I will go to Decathlon / Amazon / whatever your local online store is called. However, when I want to meet someone, I want to see what they look like, not their shirts or shoes or singlets or masks.

That’s fine to have that personal opinion. If you attend a legitimate wrestling tournament, the opponents are in gear. To discredit gear as a legitimate use in fighting or meeting someone is a personal opinion. Not a fact. If it is based on member votes, perhaps it is time to revite. I am asking for the option. You are saying no to an option.

Can we expand on what notifications we have control of receiving?
Admin

To stop receiving recommendations or meeting notifications, please navigate to the "Your followed profiles" settings page. There, you will find a "Meeting" switch which you can turn off for individual profiles. Alternatively, you can select "Disable all meeting notifications" to turn off these notifications for all profiles at once.
