Even if your weight seems to be OK by the scale, make sure you are not a TOFI - thin on the outside, fat on the inside? Typical symptoms are beer belly/tummy (even a small one), often also with thin, emaciated extremities (arms and legs). My definition of SM-Sparring: sparring where instead of avoiding getting hit by your opponent, you both work to let each other hit each other as often and as hard and as painful as you can. E.g. you don't parry or step away from a kick or knee, instead you open up your body by raising your arms to let it come in and absorb it. Also both fighters can ask for repeats of a received hit they enjoyed. E.g. you just hit me with something that I like, then I can ask you to repeat: that is repeatedly hit me again with the same technique at the same target (say 3-5-10 times) – optionally with harder and harder execution each time.
