Hey all; I’ve been thinking about my past meetups here and I’m wondering if maybe part of the reason I’m not getting as much out of wrestling as I should is because my level of physical fitness is pretty low? Because I’m spending most of the time being pinned, maybe that means I get more bruised up or get minor nerve damage?
Because of this, I thought I would ask: in general, what would you consider a baseline level of fitness that would ensure I have a better time wrestling / more even matches? (Anything like a chest press target, # pushups, crunches, squats, bicep curls, etc.?). I think if I can get my baseline strength / endurance to a high enough point that i don’t have to constantly struggle out of pins, I might be able to actually learn something.
