Phishing Alert: Please report any users requesting email addresses or asking to continue conversations outside of MeetFighters. Scammers are using credentials purchased on the darknet from data breaches. Always use a unique password for each site, and avoid using the same email/username and password combination across multiple websites. If you currently do, please change your passwords immediately. Consider enabling warnings in your password manager or antivirus software to alert you if your email has been compromised in past breaches and to monitor for future issues. Use long, strong passwords. Weak and easily guessed passwords not only put your account at risk but also endanger the entire community, as attackers might impersonate you to reach out to your friends.

Yippee! 10 confirmed past opponents!
I am now a regular user with 10 past opponents. :-)
(And 3 more requests waiting, but with people who have a non-virtual life that may be ages.)
And I realize that I wasn't limited to 5 messages a day, but initiating contact 5 times a day, i.e. messaging someone who hasn't messaged me, or claiming a past opponent. So I needn't've delayed getting back to several people: sorry about that. (I've messaged admin suggesting changes to the wording.) And so far am not impressed by chat, so not sure I've gained much apart from the reassurance of being in double figures - 6 days, 10 opponents, 7 recommendations doesn't look bad... unless you see it as evidence how stupidly long I've taken before joining... :-(
And I may have mis-assumed how "favourites" work - I was used to it meaning a private list of people you wanted to remember, at least for now, like bookmarks, whether because they're friends or you think you may have met them or you'd like to meet them if you weren't out of your league or they're so weird you want to be able to come back for a laugh any time - but on this site it gets me publicly listed as a "fan". Hmmm, probably need to check what sort of signal I'm sending, but not tonight - bedtime!
At first I was a bit sceptical of how most recommendations say much the same nice things about everyone, but now I've tried writing them I've found myself saying much the same! I guess the site helps people who are on here for real meets to meet compatible people, & most people are nice people when having a good time... Well, I've tried to be as specific as I can.
Oh, but now I do get the option of a meetfighters email alias... might be handy so have enabled that.
And I should try again to get a pic - I don't want my face on my profile & the only torso pic I could dig out was rejected, & when I've tried taking torso selfies in the past they've never worked. I did take my camera to the London meet on Saturday for this purpose but was so busy wrestling & meeting people I forgot. But now I realize all it'd show at present is a rash! (Not contagious.)
